Bosch Security Technology for Management of City Traffic

A new traffic monitoring system developed by Bosch has been deployed at a strategic location in the city to monitor traffic at key junctions and crossing. The system, which was inaugurated on 4 April 2008, comprises state-of-the-art IP closed circuit television cameras and BMS (Video Management Software), all developed by Bosch.

Bosch CCTV cameras with zooming, planning and tilting capabilities have been deployed to control and monitor traffic congestion. The latest video streaming technology from Bosch will help the video to be monitored at a central command centre with the help of latest software tailored for traffic management, a company statement said.

The system would help police achieve better safety and discipline on the roads, it said. "Bosch is aggressively working to introduce innovative video surveillance solutions into the Indian market that will help IP video systems easier to manage and more cost effective", said Mr Dhiraj Wali, VP and Business Head, Bosch Security Systems.
