Cinepolis India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mexico-based multiplex chain Cinepolis, has entered the south Indian market with its first multiplex in Bangalore. Located at Royal Meenakshi Mall, on Bannerghatta road, the all digital, seven-screen multiplex will feature a 3D screen and a macro screen and offer seating for 1,328 people.
Speaking on the occasion, Milan Saini, managing director and country head, Cinepolis India, said, "We are pleased to announce the launch of Bangalore's first 'international multiplex'. Cinema patrons can look forward to enjoying from a wide selection of movie titles and show timings with over 35 shows screened every day."

Cinepolis has an aggressive India growth strategy and plans to open 500 screens by 2016. More than half of these screens are slated to open in South India.
