TRAI triggers pulsating news.

First the Good News:
All incoming calls on cellphones will be free.
STD rates will fall from a peak rate of Rs9 to Rs 8:40.
Now, the not so good News:
Call Durations for land line phones reduced from a standard 180 seconds / 3 minutes to 60, 90 and 120 seconds. Which means users will be paying usual charge of Rs1.20 even for smaller duration calls.
Monthly Rental for Land line phone will go up by Rs 20/30.

These changes formulated by TRAI will be applicable from April 1, 2003.
On a landline no more simply talk madi.
