Software Technology Parks of India -Bangalore
are going strong as they recorded a 25 per cent growth over
the previous year. STPI touched Rs 12,350 crore for the
period of 2002-03. It's the BPOs that are leading the way
with Rs 988 crore worth of investment, and also registering
a 275 per cent growth. 41 BPO companies were approved and
constituted, about 8 per cent of the overall exports from
Bangalore.
Despite, the challenge faced by the global IT sector, STPI-B
has shown an optimistic growth.
