College, situated on the busy Hosur Road, 7kms from MG Road,
has a campus that is just ideal for the pursuit of knowledge.

Christ College was established in 1969 to provide quality education
to the young generation. The college was born out of the educational
vision of Blessed Kuriakose Elias Charava, the
founder of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate
(CMI) congregation. Blessed Charava, was a great educationist
and a social reformer of the 19th century. In the city of Bangalore,
CMI congregation has various institutions, Dharmaram College,
a seminary of CMI's, Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram- an ecclesiastical
university that confers degrees in Philosophy and Theology,
Christa Vidyalaya- a Kannada medium school, Christ School- English
Medium School and Christ College. Altogether 4,000 students
are trained in the campus.
Christ College is a minority Christian institution. The primary
focus of this institution is the minority Christian students
who lag behind in educational opportunities. Though it is a
minority institution, Christ College is very secular in outlook.
Students of all castes, religions, creeds and languages are
encouraged to be a part of this temple of learning. The college
is affiliated to Bangalore University in India. For three decades,
this college has been the most preferred institute in the city
of Bangalore. The Principal Fr.Sebastian
Thekkedathu says his personal
motto is "Excellence and Service" to the human community.
