S K Maini, a visionary technocrat, set out to give shape
to the present Maini Group way back in 1973. He modeled his
brainchild on two aspects - 'single zero principle' and 'work
is worship'. The zero principle implied zero defect, zero delay

buyers.
Maini Group at present has global majors like GM, BOSCH, BT,
MIC, OMR and Indian companies like Crompton, Gujarat Guardian,
L&T, Leyland, Maruthi Udyog, Reliance, Telco and others in the
field of automobile, consumer goods, engineering, food processing
and pharmaceuticals industries as its clients.
Maini's standards have won recognition and export orders from
General Motors, BOSCH, Clark and BT. Maini's manufacturing units
are certified for ISO 9001 and QS 9000. The company exports
about 50% of its turn over to industrially advanced countries
and has won 14 export awards.
Maini Precision Products (MPP): MPP, one of the divisions
of the Group, has been growing at a rate of 40 per cent per
annum. 90 per cent of its production is for the International
Market. It has developed more than 1000 types of machined components
in the past 27 years for a variety of customers across the Globe.
The products include shafts/axles/pins, Precision Ground Pins,
Machined Castings, Machined Forgings, components for material
handling, automotive, and other industries. MPP had won awards
for its Quality & Exports from Automotive Components Manufacturers
Association and Engineering Exports Promotion Council.
Maini Materials Movement (MMM): Set up in 1986, MMM offers
solutions in plan t
material handling to a cross section of Indian Industries. With
three manufacturing units in Bangalore (totaling up to 24,000
square meters of space), it has a range of products for loading
and unloading systems, transportation systems, ware housing,
stacking systems and articulated truck mounted cranes.
Maini Granites Limited (MGL): MGL is a 100 per cent export
oriented company founded in 1992 producing high quality, high
precision granite tiles. MGL offers commitment towards quality
and reliability that is an integral part of the Group's working
philosophy.
MGL has state-of-the art technologies like a computer controlled
integrated tiling plant from Hensel of Germany (one of the world
leaders in granite processing machinery), 16 head BRETON polishing
line for slabs and half slabs. It has an annual capacity of
1,10,000 square meters of granite production. The company offers
a wide variety of tiles, strips and panels in different sizes
and colours.
All the above units which are at different geographical locations,
are integrated through ERP-MFG-PRO System. Other companies of
the group include Maini Infosolutions, Maini Abrasives and Karnataka
Electronics.
Bangalore Commercial Corporation (BCC) set up in 1980 is
the trading arm of the group. Located in the city, it supplies
customers world wide with a vast range of products including
automotive and precision components, advanced plant material
handling equipment, casting and forgings, mirror-finish calibrated
granite tiles. BCC also represents some of the well-known companies
from Europe/Canada like - Hensel, Diabu and Abressa in India
and Sri Lanka.
