In true Mysore style, the park is designed keeping in mind the historical and cultural traditions of the state. Red terracotta tiles, 'jallies', brick and stone have been extensively used to create a rustic setting without imposing on the undulating lawns and greenery all around.

You can do as much or as little as you like and yet have the time of your life. For kids bursting with energy, there's plenty to do - from zipping down the scintillating slides to amazing rides. For those who just want to relax and unwind, the country club has a string of things to do.

A water haven

You could zip down the Water Chute, squeal your head off the Free Fall Crazy Cruise, float along the Lazy River, ride the surf or just laze around the Wave Pool. But rest easy, there are safety and buoyancy aids available. For the little ones there are play areas such as the Multi-Purpose Play System - an interactive water based game in the Kids Pool. A ride worth mentioning is the Giant Pendulum Slide. This massive slide, 35 ft high and 135 ft wide gives you a forward and backward motion from a height of 35 feet in quick succession, making it a most memorable ride.

Another fun game here is Spider Man. You get into a velcro suit and jump off a springboard to land on a velcro padded wall, just like spider man !

Adventure lovers

For the adventurous, there is a sheer 20 ft Artificial Wall to test your determination. You can climb this wall using a rope and inserts and maybe some expert tips from the guides.

And if that's not enough, one can experience a steep fall on the Flying Fox for a length of 180 feet or be truly adventurous on a Rappeller.

The lost world

Travel back in time to dino world and revisit all the dinosaurs in their natural settings. The landscaping is superb with waterfalls, et al.

Time to boogie

Come sundown and the Aqua Dance Floor is packed with teeny boppers and adults alike having the time of their lives. The 4,500 sq ft dance platform, is surrounded by water . The music,water and lights around the platform lend an aura which is totally out of this world.

Food for thought

A day out isn't complete without fun food. GRS recognizes this need and caters to all tastes, meeting the highest standards of hygiene and quality.. In addition to food kiosks and snack bars that dot the entire park and serve ice creams, soda pops and tasty snacks, there is a choice of two restaurants, with indoor as well as outdoor seating and a fantastic view of the park, serving a variety of scrumptious multi-cuisine delights. But if you prefer to eat where the action is, perhaps the food kiosks next to the Wave Pool is the best place for you.

Something to remember

There is a gift shop that stocks up all kinds of souvenirs to take back home - from curios, to toys, to t-shirts, to electronic games - they have it all.

When all's said and done, there is that nagging urge to go back for more. And why not? You can plan birthdays, family get-togethers and other celebrations in this festive atmosphere.

There is also a 1500 seater amphitheatre that is used for concerts, promotions, product launches, conferences and other functions.

There are special discounts and schemes for groups larger than 30 persons. Tailor made packages with food and transporatation can be provided based on requirements. Special rates for schools and colleges are also available.

Tickets:

Rs 150/- + 10% entertainment tax for all above 4'6" height

Rs 99/- + 10% entertainment tax for all between 3' and 4'6" height
