Tanishq makes it easier for you to exchange your old gold.
Are you tired of wearing the same old necklaces, rings, bangles, earrings
to every event? Wouldn't you rather get some new and unique designs
instead? Tanishq, India's leading branded jeweller, is launching a
special gold exchange scheme till the end of March. Bangalore residents
can now exchange their old gold at the Tanishq boutique on Dickenson
Road, one of the 42 boutiques around the country.
You can exchange your old gold for Tanishq's brand new designs in
all ranges of products in 22 karat gold and gemset jewellery, including
finger rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, bangles, chains, bracelets,
nosepins, mangtikas, waist bands and armlets. This is in conjunction
to the company's aim of tapping the Rs. 40,000 crore jewellery market
in India.
While the exchange process is available throughout the year, during
January, Tanishq is offering special terms for all gold exchanges
in February and March with only a nominal deduction being applied.
Speaking on the occasion, Jacob Kurian, Chief Operating Officer, Tanishq,
said, "Our consumer research has indicated that most Indian consumers
are extremely anxious when they want to exchange their old jewellery
for new. This is because they are not sure if they will get the right
valuation for their gold. The process of measuring the karatage of
gold still relies on very primitive and unreliable methods. However,
Tanishq's gold exchange method is absolutely transparent as all the
steps are done in front of the customer. Moreover, we use sophisticated
equipment like the karatmeter to check the karatage of the gold that
a customer brings in."
Under the exchange process, customers can exchange any gold jewellery
at the boutique after the gold has been tested for karatage. In the
first stage, purity is measured at three points on the surface of
the jewellery through the karatmeter. Thereafter, the whole product
or a part of the product will be melted at the boutique. The gold
is then tested for purity. The average of three readings of the gold
is taken to be the final purity of the product for exchange purposes.
After the gold is tested and karatage determined, customers can select
designs from Tanishq's exclusive range, synonymous with superior craftsmanship
and guaranteed product quality.
Tanishq products are carefully designed by award-winning designers.
Each and every piece of Tanishq jewellery is manufactured at an integrated
facility that ensures highest quality control at each stage of manufacturing,
ranging from refining to alloying to the final finishes. Every piece
is guaranteed and certified in writing. Tanishq is the only national
jeweller in India and is part of the TATA and Titan group. Tanishq
is today available through 42 exclusive boutiques in over 35 towns.
The company's range consists of gold jewellery of both 22 Kt and 18
Kt. Tanishq also recently moved into the platinum range of jewellery.
