Ballal
is a well known name in Indian Industry. Their venture
into the service industry started three score and two years ago,
after they had established a considerable presence in the private
road transport sector. Success in that area helped them diversify
into the hotel industry. It was a smooth transition in the year
1973. Since then they have been widening horizons
in the hospitality industry by building a loyal clientele base through
their service par excellence. They make no bones about the fact
that their clients are important to them and are regarded as a part
of the Ballal family. A Ballal Hotel always
gives the client a feeling of home.
Records state that Ballal Group Of Hotels is one of the most
commendable vegetarian hotels in South India.
The first thing that you would notice about this hotel is the drive
which is wide and surrounded by greenery. The hotel
lounge has lovely, huge chandeliers.
The serene ambience is the perfect setting for a relaxed
stay, far from the hassles of a bustling city.
For palates with a craving for sweets, there is the 'Sweet
Shoppe' beside the Garden Restaurant- where you can savour
an array of chaats, fresh juices or treat yourself to ice-cream.
Palm Grove - the multi cuisine vegetarian restaurant
offers wholesome, delicious vegetarian food. Chinese a-la-carte
is available for Rs 150/, a complete South
Indian meal for Rs 50/ and a typical North
Indian 'thaali' for Rs 75.
"We cater to both corporates and the family crowd. Our 'rotis'
at the Palm Grove are very light and delicious too!" claims
Sharmila Ballal of the Ballal Group of Hotels. "We
have celebrity customers like Dr. Rajkumar, Bangarappa, his son
Kumar Bangarappa, and many MPs dropping in here now and then. We
do not advertise and the restaurant has become p opular
through word of mouth," says a proud MS Samaga, GM,
Ballal Residency. The Ballals have recently opened
a new Bar called the 'Charlton' which serves vegetarian
tooth-pick food. The bar timings are from 11am-3pm
and 6.30pm- 11pm.
The restaurant 'Palm Grove', which can accommodate
100 people, is open from 11am to 3.00pm
in the morning and from 6.30 to 11pm in the night.
There are 63 deluxe rooms with balconies, controlled
