Yes we get all this under one roof, any guesses... yes it is the Fatima Bakery and Departmental Stores.

Started in 1957, Fatima has come a long way now. It is known for one of the best and the oldest bakeries of Bangalore. "Ours was the only shop here in this area. Our customers used to come all the way from Indiranagar, Koramangala, Richmond Town and many other places, says David, the owner of this great old bakery. "People come from far off places to buy our coconut sweet and meat puffs," he adds. They sell around 500 meat puffs a day.

Do you want to know the secret of the taste of Fatima which has remained the same from years.... yes you are right, they bake in a firewood oven.

"We come here every second day and buy provisions and I like the way things have been arranged here specially all the chocolates," says Sara Iqbal a young charming customer at Fatima's.

"Nowadays there are a lot of departmental stores and every road has a bakery and there is a lot of competition and our business is not like what it used to be, say around 10 years. We have around 500 customers who visit our store every day," says the owner.
