HealthScribe,
the pioneers in Medical Transcription
HealthScribe India was incorporated in 1992 as an offshoot
of Kriya Systems and is headquartered at Sterling,
Virginia. HealthScribe was started with the intent of providing
assistance and support to the healthcare industry through
its proprietary transcription technology. HealthScribe has
pioneered the Medical Transcription (MT) industry in
India. Recently, Max India and HealthScribe entered
into a joint venture for further development of HealthScribe
India.
The HealthScribe India model is based on the infrastructure
that exists in the US. HealthScribe has its own sales team,
customer service representatives and a large number of medical
transcriptionists in US. They provide their customers with
easy accessible customer service.
HealthScribe India has developed its own body of proprietary
training materials in English, American usage and phonetics
and insists upon comprehensive training that spans many months.
There are a variety of career paths for transcriptionists
at HealthScribe India. Some may remain contented as successful
medical transcriptionists while other may become full-time
proofreaders, team leaders/managers or move into the training
department.
At present, HealthScribe India is focusing primarily on hiring
and training its own medical transcriptionists. HealthScribe
India is no longer considering entering into any business
arrangements with start-ups/new MT companies. HealthScribe
India does outsource to a very limited number of MT companies
in India.
