We
may have palatial bungalows, plush interiors, modern kitchens
and other essential accessories to give that right look to our
home. But, when it comes to manage that foul smelling household
waste we go by those ugly looking plastic bins to dispose off
the waste. We usually place them in some hideous corner of our
house so that it keeps out of our sight completely. But, if
what by little effort we make use of the same waste and yet
keep it in containers that are equally attractive. Thats
what Daily Dump helps you to achieve: Proper waste management
at home level.
Daily Dump is the brainchild of Poonam Bir Kasturi, who isa
graduate from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. By
training she is an industrial engineer and is also one of
the founder members of Srishti School of Art Design and Technology,
Bangalore. She started Daily Dump in the year 2006.
Her company designs the products as well as extends services
that prove useful in managing the waste. It is important in
the process that people segregate the waste into two lots
that is bio-degradable and non-biodegradable. For this, a
different variety of terracotta products are available like:

These are of two types and have the same operating principle.
It has been specially designed for disposing medium quantity
of kitchen waste and garden waste. It can be conveniently
placed as it occupies less space. It has a contemporary form
with three modular parts that allows the user to convert organic
home waste into compost easily.
Patta Khamba: As the name suggests, it can be used
to compost leaves and twigs. Currently there are 2 types
of Patta Kambha - one with a single container and the other
with three containers. Both types come in two variations -
with plant or without plant at the bottom. The Patta Kambha
has been designed to act as a store cum composter for your
garden waste. One can decorate garden with these by placing
them at various locations.
Gamla: A Gamla is a modified potted plant which is
of six different shapes available at Daily Dump. Plants surround
the organic waste while decomposition takes place in the central
pipe. It can ideally be placed next to the kitchen sink and
the waste food can be directly placed into it for the compost.
Leave-it post: There are two types of Leave-It Pots
the one with holes for ventilation and one without.
The ventilated pot is recommended for half done composted

of waste.
The
cost of these attractive products range from Rs 100-1000.

waste management. If you feel that you dont have time
neither the patience to segregate waste then you can even
opt for Daily Dump Service Plan. In this the Daily Dump serviceman
