Aero India Show 2001

DLCA - The Indian pride will be displaying its powero you still run out to the open to see a fighter jet flying past… as children we were all fascinated by the sight of a soaring aeroplane… The sonic boom created by its turbo engines could stop our heartbeats… Many of us still continue to be captivated by these flying machines. Aircraft enthusiasts were witness to a spectacular display at the recently concluded Aero India Show 2001. Being the home of the Indian aerospace industry, Bangalore has been hosting Aero shows regularly.

Aero India Show has gained an excellent response among both international and national participants. Reputed companies from USA, UK, Israel, France, Germany, Russia, Italy and Poland took part in the show. Indian defense units and private firms also participated. The show featured state of the art weaponry not only from India, but also from countries around the world. Participants displayed advanced aircraft designs and improved versions offered by the latest technology, thus mutually benefitting participating countries.

During the highly successful aeroshow in 1998, nearly 110 international aerospace industries from 17 countries and 66 Indian firms MI-8 is the mainstay of the Indian Navy and Air Forceparticipated. Apart from civil and military aircraft manufacturers, the present aeroshow also featured weapons systems, aerospace, air cargo, airport management and allied industries. The exhibition had both indoor and outdoor displays. For a better display and business environment for the exhibitors, the three exhibition halls at the Yelahanka Air Force Station had been air-conditioned. Apart from the exhibition and air shows, an international seminar on 'Aerospace Technology Development' was organized by Defence R & D Organisation, where top level scientists, industrialists, engineers and aviators took part.

The highlight of the aero show was the dazzling flying display of aircraft every day. LeadinAwait a dazzling display of firepower!g players in the aerospace industry showcased their cutting edge technology machinery. Sukhoi-30, MIG Trainer Jet, F-14 Eagle, Jaguar enthralled the audience with their dare devil loops and somersaults. This time the most eagerly awaited display was that of the indigenously developed Light Combat Aircraft or the LCA. The Advanced Light Helicopter showed its worth among the international biggies like Kamov-53 and others.
