Est ablished
in 1962, HMT has been manufacturing wrist watches for nearly
four decades and today they have four integrated manufacturing
units, employing highly skilled work force, producing over 7
million high quality watches/watch movements per annum in hundreds
of designs, in Mechanical and Quartz. The technology for the
manufacture of Watch Movements and Watches has been acquired
from Citizen, Japan. HMT Watch manufacturing units have ISO-9001
certification. Their products conform to absolutely rigid quality
standards and are well accepted in the international market.
HMT watches are regularly exported to countries in the Middle
East, South East and Japan.
The Global Connection
HMT entered the world market way back in the sixties by exporting
machine tools to developed countries. The increased overseas
demand led to the formation of HMT (International) Limited as
a wholly owned subsidiary in 1974. Starting as a gateway for
export of HMT products, HMT(I) grew into an international trading
and engineering house for a diverse range of products and projects,
besides consultancy and technical services. HMT(I)'s global
network extends to over 38 countries with 60 representations
to service its clientele worldwide.
Project Engineering
Over the years, HMT (International) has come to be recognised
as a reliable source for project expertise in a spectrum of
engineering fields, covering manufacturing, maintenance and
training projects. HMT(I) offers a comprehensive package of
consultancy, technical and engineering services from concept
to commissioning on turnkey basis. Its track record includes
prestigious projects in Algeria, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia,
Maldives, Mauritius, Tanzania, UAE and other developing countries.
Broadening Horizons
HMT(I) believes in diversification and the business portfolio
has now been expanded to include agriculture and industrial
commodities, construction materials, computer software and IT
services.

HMT today, connotes a large and diverse clientele base with
machine tools sales grossing over 78,000 machines with an export
share of 12,000 machines in 70 countries worldwide.
