Karnataka State Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd
(KSSIDC), a Government of Karnataka undertaking, was established
to extend a helping hand to Small Scale Industries in the state
by providing them with basic infrastructural facilities.
KSSIDC has constructed over 5523 Industrial Sheds for SSI entrepreneurs
all over the State. These sheds have been designed to provide
entrepreneurs the space they require, on a need based manner.
Priority is given to entrepreneurs dealing in high technology,
export-oriented and import substitution products. Making optimum
use of the space available, the sheds include factory accommodation,
toilet facilities, storage space and an open area outside the
shed. Good natural ventilation, lighting, security and easy
accessibility make KSSIDC Industrial Sheds an excellent choice
for entrepreneurs.
To make the Sheds economically viable without compromising on
quality, KSSIDC makes use of locally available materials. Constant
research is also carried out to further reduce the cost of construction.

A uniform price is fixed for all the sheds allotted during a
year considering the location and the following factors :-
Type of Shed
Land Cost (approved by the Board)
Actual Construction Cost
Cost of infrastructure
Supervision Charges
Interest during construction
In the case of old sheds and sheds that are being re-allotted,
the cost of the shed will be decided, based on the current
cost less 2% depreciation per annum.
CONSTRUCTION
KSSIDC has a competent team of Engineers with vast experience
in Construction Activity. This team is responsible for :
Conceptualising, designing, planning, constructing and
establishing Industrial Estates.
Planning and Constructing living-cum-working sheds for artisans
engaged in handloom, handicraft, leather
industries etc.
Planning and Constructing Ancillary Industrial Estates
in the vicinities of large industries. Some
of the prominent Ancillary Industrial Estates are servicing,
ITI, HAL, BEML, KSRTC, KEB, Mysore Lamps,
NGEF and VISL.
Maintenance of KSSIDC's Industrial Estates.
KSSIDC's team of engineers offer their services to other agencies
for similar works.
HOW TO APPLY
On notification by KSSIDC, application forms can be collected
from and submitted to the concerned Chief Manager (IEs). The
filled application forms must be accompanied by :-
A detailed Project Report
A DD for the Scrutiny Fee and EMD as prescribed by KSSIDC
A provisional or permanent SSI Registration Certificate
The partnership deed (in case of partnership firms)
Memorandum and Articles of Association (in case of private
/ public limited companies)
A phased production approval copy (if applicable).
Income Tax Clearance Certificate and the latest Audited
Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account
(in case of existing units)
