Karnataka
State Motor Sport club
Started in 1954, the club conducts motor sporting events like rallies,
track races, treasure hunts, hill climbs, drag meets etc. Among the
major events is Karnataka 1000 in which professional people
participate from all over the country. It has the distinction of being
the first to use HAM radio communications to monitor motor sports
events. KSMC is the founder member of the Motor Sport Club of India,
which is affiliated to the Federation of International ' de I' in
Paris -- the governing body of motor sports in the world.
 Football
The Football stadium, situated just behind Shoppers Stop, is one of
the oldest stadia in Bangalore. Thanks to the National Games, it was
remodelled with change rooms for players and referees. The football
playing area has been enhanced with better facilities. The latest
addition being the southern stands with a seating capacity of more
than 15,000 spectators.
Swimming
 Some
of Bangalore's schools and colleges have played a vital role in building
the careers of many children with an aptitude to swim.Baldwin's High
School, Bishop Cotton High School and St.Joseph's High School
have excellent swimming facilities.The prominent swimming training
centres are the Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre, K.C.
Reddy Swim Centre,
and Corporation pools at Jayanagar
and Sadashivnagar. These pools are of international standards. Many
of the star hotels and clubs in the city conduct summer camps in swimming
for children of various ages. These clubs also provide training in
diving and water sport events.
