The most convenient way to move around in Bangalore is to hire an
auto or a taxi.
Minimum auto fare: Rs 14.00. After this, Rs 7.00 is charged per
km. Make sure the auto driver turns on the meter once you hire the
auto.
Pre-paid autos and taxis: These are available at the main bus
stand, railway station (Majestic) and airport. These are recommended
to avoid arguments over fares, since the auto driver or taxi driver
does not have any incentive to "take you for a ride."

Minimum Fare: Rs 60 which covers 4 kms on
maximum usage. Every extra kilometre after the mimimum is charged
Rs.12.
Waiting Charges: There is no waiting charge for the first 20 minutes.
After
that, Rs 5 is charged for every 15 minutes.
Number of passengers is limited to four. Air-conditioned and non air-conditioned
taxis are available.There will be no luggage charges for up to 120
Kg, Rs 5 will be charged for every additional 20 Kg.
BUSES
Regular and Luxury (Pushpak) buses are available. The service
is slow and buses are crowded most of the time. The bus service covers
all of Bangalore, including suburbs. The fare in Pushpak buses is
more than that of the regular buses.
