The Leela Palace - Spelling Grandeur and Luxury

The Leela might be the latest entrant to the luxury hotel scene in Bangalore, but it has not been slow in gaining recognition: It is the only Indian Hotel to be featured by Forbes.com in it's list of the Best Business Hotels of 2001.

Built to emulate the traditional architecture of the Palaces at Mysore and of the Vijayanagara Empire, as seen in the copper domes and ornate ceilings -- but with an Art Deco twist -- the Leela Palace is a five-star property set on six acres of lush, landscaped gardens that include a mini lagoon.
