Situated
off Mysore Road, just 12 kms from the city railway station
and 45 minutes drive from the airport, lies your own Ooty, Coonoor
or Kodai with a meticulously landscaped plethora of sprawling lush
green lawns and azure pools. According to the Chairman
and Founder, Arunachalam, this is one resort, which has imbibed
traditional values along with the British legacy, encompassing a
lot of modern amenities along with ancient Indian system of Ayurveda.
The resort offers a vast expanse of mise-en-scene spread over 45
acres with shady trees, coconut groves and tropical flowers. The
sunset and sunrise is to be especially experienced through the undisturbed
view that Shakthi Hill Resort offers. The serene atmosphere helps
to bring down tensions and recharge one's energy in a clean and
eco-friendly environment.

have dreamt of seeing in Bangalore. There is a 250 ft deep manmade

manmade water falls, 150 ft wide and 57 ft high, here. There
is also an artificially made mist zone, which gives an impression
of being in Ooty. There are around 34 cottages ranging from
deluxe rooms to penthouses. The resort stands on the foundation
of the concept "Athithi Devo Bhava", meaning
"Guest is equal to God", which its imbibed by every service

with a smile at every step.
There are five swimming pools designed for men, women and

level appropriate for children. There is an enclosed pool for women
and one can enjoy swimming even on chilly days with a hot pool.
There is a paradise pool on top with a sunken bar,
made in the Roman style, where you drink, then go back to the waters,
intoxicate yourself, go back to the bar, drink again, so on.
T he
resort is also ideal for a day's picnic for children and
for families. So if you are a group of 30 and odd people do contact
their office to arrange for a day's picnic. You can have access
to most of their facilities. Besides the heavenly pools, there are
a host of games to compete and have fun - outdoor games like
badminton, tennis and indoor games like carom, billiards
and others.
The resort also has five bars and a restaurant serving a
range of cuisines from continental to Indian food. For those perfering
