Art Foundation International is dedicated to the child artist.
It was established on April 5, 1999, as a registered trust and
is a charitable, voluntary, social service organization devoted
to the preservation and promotion of art and cultural heritage
of India. Making the child its primary focus, Chandana aims
at fostering an intellectual and cultural environment where
the spirit of creativity can be nurtured, where the individual
can thrive, and the artistic talent of the child can flourish.
Chandana Art Foundation International (CAFI) is deeply committed
to the field of child art. This art, whether traditional or
abstract, pertains to the imagination of the child, how he/she
depicts it. The Foundation's objective is to provide a conducive
platform for the promotion of various forms of Creative Art
- Applied Art, Visual Art, Folk, Tribal, Architectural, Art
History, Tradition of Indian Sculptures, Mural, Miniature painting,
Puppetry, Research and Documentation.
They hope to achieve this through the establishment and maintenance
of institutions and art galleries. Plans are afoot to offer
training facilities, conduct camps and workshops, offer financial
support to deserving students, artists and researchers, arrange
for scholarships. CAFI aims at reaching out to the marginalised,
socially deprived sections of the society, economically dis-advantaged
but talented persons, particularly women, children and people
with disability.
The core values of the organization are encapsulated in the
