Getting a gun license

Eligibility:

Anyone without a criminal background is permitted to get a gun license Gun

One should be physically fit and a doctor's certificate is a must.

If a person is physically infirm, he can get another member of his family to be a retainer of that weapon.

Procedure:

Pick up an application form from the police commissioner's office located on Infantry Road, Bangalore.

Submit it to the zonal deputy commissioner's office with all the requisite details such as medical certificate and a passport-size photograph.

A police officer from the jurisdictional police station will visit your residence to verify your credentials.

Based on this, the Zonal Deputy Commissioner will forward his report to the DCP (administration).

On further report from the DCP (administration), the police commissioner will issue the gun license.
