Indian IT brain power has been one of the most aspired
fuel to pump global corporate organisations, but little was know
about the growing impact of Indian marketing brains behind the booming
success of global giants.
Indian Marketing specialists are sparking as custodians
of mega global brands in many US companies and as a result are finding
strategic positions in their parent companies. It is a well accepted
fact around the world that Indian market places are an ideal training
ground and a stepping stone to the bigger game.
Exclamating the above is Muktesh Pant, chief
marketing officer of Reebok. He missions on signing up Jay-Z
(hip-hop superstar) with Reebok adding to the 'Sound and Rhythm
of Sports' marketing campaign. Pant commands an annual budget of
$270 million. Earlier he worked with HLL and Pepsi in India. The
whooping success of Reebok's TV commercial conceived around the
fictional character Terry Tate, prompted NYSE to invite pant to
ring the closing bell. Pant says that,he finds it more challenging
to build alignments internally.
