Born in Thirthahalli , Shimoga District, Karnataka.
Studied
fine arts and was awarded national diploma with distinction
from Govt. School of Art & Crafts (Now University
College of Art) Davangere, Karnataka.
Undertook extensive research during 1981-82 ingraphics
at Garhi Studios, New Delhi under Lalit Kala Academy's scholarship.
Obtained
postgraduate degree in literature from Mysore University.
Postgraduate diploma, in Public Relations.
Worked as lecturer in fine arts between 1977-80 at
Govt. School of Art & Crafts (University College of Art),
Davangere.
Worked with Clarion Advertising Services, Bangalore
between 1980-85
MAJOR EXHIBITIONS
Participated
in Festival of India, USA during 1985-86 and the works were
on display at 17 prominent galleries including California,
New York, Los Angeles, Texas and Pennsylvania.
In
1988, exhibited in a group show at Manchester, UK.
Participated in Central Lalit Kala Academy's National
Exhibitions, Rastriya Kala Melas, Regional Art Centre's exhibitions,
Karnataka Lalit kala Academy Exhibitions, Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal
Exhibition etc.,
Participated
in various group show's held at New Delhi, Hyderabad, Madras,
Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Bombay, Goa,Udaipur, Lucknow and
other cities.
Held six one-man-shows so far at Bangalore
and in many other places.

In 1989 represented Karnataka in All India Artists'
Camp at Haridwar (UP), conducted by UP Govt.,

Mr. Krishna Reddy of New York University in 1985.
