BHIMESWARI
(100 kms towards South)
The Cauvery Fishing Camp off the village of Bhimeswari is a quiet
resort on the river Cauvery. Open from December to March, it is an
angler's paradise.
This river is perhaps the only one in India for the large Mahseer
fish. So throw in your line but be warned - fishing is meant to
be a sport only.
For those who are not too keen on fishing they can enjoy a ride
in a coracle down the river for a breathtaking view of the gorge
section and its wealth of flora and fauna.

won't last for long however as the mines are facing an impending
closure.

only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Children below 10 years
are not allowed.
