Launches Three New Products
Cellnext
Solutions Limited, a Wireless IT Solutions Company, promoted by
the Escorts Group, announced the launch of three new products, at
a press conference on May28, 2002.
The three products, part of the Messaging Engine (ME) series are
aimed at cellular operators. AlertME, RoamME, GlobalME - have been
launched with an objective to provide the Wireless Telecom and Communications
Industry with products, that enhance their ARPU, i.e., Average Revenue
per User. The ME-Series of products is based on SS7 signaling technology.
Speaking
on the launch, Mr Srijnan Sanyal, Chief Marketing Officer, said
- "Cellnext ME product line includes a set of SS7-based software
application platforms which exploits the 'operator content' trapped
inside the SS7 network."
Like in the case of AlertME, where, all missed call attempts to
a mobile number are captured from the SS7 network and and notified
to the subscriber over SMS and web with date and time stamp.
RoamME offers location based Value Added Services to in-roaming
and out-roaming subscribers and GlobalME enables operators to offer
SMS based application services to Enterprise customers. Says Mr
Sanyal - "For instance, supposing a bank wants to send uptodate
data to their clients via Mobile/Wireless, they have to organise
numerous tie-ups with local operators. GlobalME frees them from
this hassle."
Each of these products are priced at around Rs50 lakhs.
Incorporated in 2000, the company had announced revenues of US
$One million during it's first year of operations. "The company
is targetting a three hundred percent growth rate this fiscal",
announced Mr Athish Dasgupta, Chief Business Operations. "Most
of the business is targetted at the European market", he added.
