Images of Bhuj - in the footsteps of a killer quake
--

The killer quake - the aftermath caught on camera. A photo exhibition of the Gujarat earthquake at the Banquet Hall of the Vidhana Soudha held during the first week of March. The visitor's silence spoke volumes.

A house that once stood tall and proud. Rubble, rubble all around and not a roof untouched.

Miles to go for a pot of water. A lonely walk down rubble-strewn streets.

It's a bleak future for the survivors. For the homeless, it's an endless walk.

And how do I feed my family now? The cry of hunger. My bowl is empty too.

Volunteers from all over the country rushed to lend a helping hand.

Y Rammohan
