Ramnagar man’s heart to beat for ailing Bengaluru woman


BENGALURU: On Wednesday morning, a green corridor was created to a transport the heart of 24 year old man who succumbed to a road accident on May 29.

The recipient’s family hailing from Ramanagar, gave their consent for organ donation at Victoria hospital, where he was declared brain dead. At 9;30 am today, his heart was transported from the Victoria hospital to MS Ramaiah-Narayana Heart Center.
Police have assisted the medical staff in creating a green corridor from KR market to New BEL road, covering a distance of almost 15 km at peak hour.
The recipient is a 47 year old female patient from Bengaluru who was suffering from Dilated Cardio Myopathy (DCM), severe left ventricular dysfunction.
