Designed especially for quick meetings and icebreakers for entrepreneurs, business professionals and even those planning a quick matrimonial rendezvous, the newly launched 154-key Taj Bangalore offers all these away from the traffic snarls and growing pollution of Bengaluru city — just a five minute walk from the Kempegowda International Airport.
“It is the latest addition to the IHCL luxury portfolio and sixth from the Taj group of hotels in the city,” Ian Dubier, General Manager, Taj Bangalore told Express. Unveiled early this year, it has become fully operational from last month.
Its strategic location is making it ideal for business travelers and luxury aficionados alike who travel exhaustively on a tight time schedule. The hotel boasts 13 meeting rooms that can accommodate from five to 50 guests and lend themselves to intimate board meetings or large conversational conclaves.
“This renders going into the city for meetings unnecessary. Their time is rationalized and used judisciously. The biggest saving here is time… which for most CEOs, MDs and Global Heads is priceless,” says Dubier. Global and national CEOs, MDs and department heads fly in to the airport and walk into the hotel for a meeting while their teams drive down from the city for the same. For the CEOs and MDs it is a matter of flying in for the meeting and flying out on completion, with all their time dedicated only to work — and none spent navigating chock-a-block traffic.
The hotel is also similar to another property in Mumbai, Taj Santacruz, near Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport – Domestic Terminal and according to Taj, more such projects are planned across southern cities over the next few years. The hotel also has 25,000 square feet space dedicated to banqueting complemented by an array of dining options and meeting facilities.
